Anne Archer - Founder, Board of Directors
An Academy Award nominated and Golden Globe winning actress and human rights advocate, Ms. Archer has fought for human rights around the globe for nearly two decades. She has led protest marches, testified before Congress and met both privately and openly with State Department officials around the world always bringing her creativity and passion to the fight.
In 1981, Planned Parenthood appointed Archer as its inaugural National Public Advocacy Chairman, which was a role she assumed for seven years and for which Ms. Magazine honored Archer with its Woman of the Year tribute.
In 2006, Archer founded Artists For Human Rights to give voice and bring about greater awareness among all peoples of the world of all of our human rights as laid out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. “Because artists have the ability to elevate the culture, we as artists, uniting to make known the human rights of all people of the world, can bring about greater peace and tolerance.”
