December 8, 2006, Los Angeles: International Human Rights Day Celebration at Los Angeles City Hall. Joined by dignitaries, celebrities, community and religious leaders as well as youth in a rededication ceremony on the steps of the Los Angeles City Hall. A proclamation from the City of Los Angeles acknowledged the day. Hundreds signed the "International Human Rights Day United for 30 Rights Pledge" as it was unfurled down the steps of the Los Angeles City Hall! (Read More)

November 16, 2006, Washington, D.C.: 30 Million tuned in to Voice of America as Actress Nazanin Boniadi and Ahmad Baharloo discussed human rights. An Iranian by birth, Nazanin is a member of AFHR and is spearheading the AFHR fight for human rights education in the Middle East. Her popularity as an Iranian Actress gives her the opportunity to reach out to a population notoriously victimized by human rights abuses. (Read More)

November 13- Ongoing, Worldwide: Human Rights Art in Public Places is a new program where our generous art patrons can purchase art created by human rights inspired artists and have it placed, with the artist's statement and the donors name, in a public venue to further promote the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. October 26, 2006, Los Angeles: The “Artists for Human Rights” art show which opened in New York as part of a United Nations summit opened in LA at the Johnson Art Collection on Melrose Avenue. The show, sponsored by Academy Award nominated actress and activist Anne Archer, was the second stop on its international tour and ran through November 16. (Read More)

25 August 2006, Union Square, NY: Free open-air concert drew over 7,000 spectators, spreading the word about human rights with music. Live music mixed with Human Rights Public Service Announcements reached the crowd as thousands of New Yorkers took a moment out of their busy lives to stop, think and learn about human rights and have a great time. 24 August 2006, NY, NY: Reception and Art Exhibition- The opening night reception and Art Exhibition on Human Rights took place at Westwood Gallery in SoHo, NY, in which 25 artists displayed their works to express their thoughts on human rights. (Read More)

21 July 2006, Los Angeles, CA: a launch event and concert was held at  Celebrity Centre International (CCI), Garden Pavilion, benefiting the Artists for Human Rights organization. Founder Anne Archer spoke about upcoming and future plans for the organization and its goal to help unite individuals from all cultures and walks of life in the common purpose of making better known the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
